In the Green in New Zealand

Sam Morgan’s one lucky guy. Not only does he get to live in New Zealand (which I can attest from a recent trip is a fantastic place), but he just sold his online auction business, Trade Me, to Australia’s Fairfax Holdings for NZ $700 million in cash (about US $456 million). Morgan is all of 30 years old.

Trade Me was founded by Morgan in 1999, when he was 23. It’s the most-visited website in New Zealand, according to this report from the New Zealand Herald. It has 1.2 million members. (Thanks to Frasier Mills for the pointer.)
