I hope you weren’t planning on a newspaper career

How bad are things looking for the newspaper industry? They’re so bad … that the Minneapolis Star Tribune has stopped giving employees free copies of the newspaper. Instead, they get access to a NewsStand eEdition digital replica of the print edition. … Funny, yet sad.

    we had to pay for our papers at Gannett owned The Star Press. and it was “kinda sorta” mandatory to buy a subscription. (not to mention they kept charging me for it after they downsized me…) i’m not bitter, though. really. i’m free now. ;)
