I'm using Wordpress for this site, and it's pretty much all I need. My last company we used Drupal, and many of the things our programmers created (trail and content mapping, buddy lists, cool user profiles) I'm not sure would have been possible using WP. One area where I'm not happy with WP is user profiles, which as you'll see in this site are in WP default format. That's something I hope to fix eventually. But in the very large WP community, I haven't found that anyone's tackled this yet and offered it out to the WP world.

One thing I'd add: Be aware of how much CMS you need. Drupal is awesome, but oftentimes Wordpress will do the trick, especially if you're just pushing out story-type content. Where Drupal rules, at least in my experience with it, is in taxonomy and in cross-linking. This is especially true with its map module, which is flat out sweet.
