Dear Steve - I really enjoyed reading this piece. Any publisher of any printed media should listen carefully to the options you list for each competence of the daily. Another thing coming to my mind is that although you are not willing to pay for paper anymore you'd accept a fee for useful service. And that is also my opinion: service-strategies are the only way to survive for media companies in a world where news and most information became indifferent commodities.

Steve, thank you for the kind words, and you bet I will be staying tuned to what you're up to (and sending you good karma, to boot!.) I sure hope you can do it, because the continuation of journalism does depend on those pesky revenues!
