What would you do with your comic avatar?
By Steve Outing on Jun 6, 2008 in Design, Misc.
I’m doing a little market research for a project and would greatly appreciate your advice. My question: What would you do with a personal avatar that looked like a comic-strip version of you? How would you use it? What uses could you foresee for a comic avatar of your face and body, or just your face (digital or physical-world)?
Here are a couple examples of comic avatars. Also see the comic avatar of me at the top of this page.

I use my avatar for not publishing my real photo in my “online life”, because i dont like to see my face in the web. I think, its a good way to present myself to my online readers because Its as if i have one profile specific for being in the net. I think the avatar is not very close to my personal look, but, a little. You can see it at my blog, or in these url: http://bp3.blogger.com/_v1×0usN2Fsg/SE47rrzRvDI/AAAAAAAABCg/xaFtLJP7RpE/S220/logo_mr.gif

I use a Simpsonized avatar for Facebook and my IM avatar. I figure everyone already knows what I look like anyway so it’s a chance to have some fun.
