News Armada is meant to be a social news community focused on commentary and discussion. Noise, trolls, spammers, plain ol' stupidity -- all of these are issues we've thought about, that I've been working on solutions to after seeing these problems time and time again. The last 10 years of the web have taught us a lot about the social psychology of online interactions, and the role of incentives in shaping user contributions. News Armada is about a month away from a closed alpha; I hope you'll keep an eye out for us. We may not plan on hosting the world-changing demagoguery of Ender's Game's 'nets', but our goal is to become the most valuable online community ever created.
