		<description>great article and I completely agree.  I am right now trying to determine whether or not to charge for my app.  It will be a niche app but there is something to be said about building the largest user base possible and then monetize later.

Then again, we are putting a lot of time and money to give people something we think will really be helpful and by getting paid upfront, we can afford to fine tune without the pressure of trying to squeeze $ out.</description>

Companies are finally getting the idea that a free application might give their website / service more impressions, reputation and the opportunity to become a force in a the mobile market segment.</description>
