Steve,
Pop-ups piss me off!
I believe, I’m not alone in this opinion.
“Like this free content? Support it by rating with BeneVote. Thanks!
[Close this by voting]”
I especially like the “close this by voting” intrusion on my eyeballs, anxious to read the content, but, may, with time, not visit as often and knowing that You, above all, should know better. Unless, of course, it’s a test, an experiment, or you just like to get little ‘ol men pissed off
What say you?
Stu: Yep, experimenting. How do you get people to voluntarily donate, without pissing them off, yet get their attention? Worth playing around with to see what works and what backfires.
The bottom-bar pop-up vote begging thing only shows once per day. And I think I can turn it off (or will be able to once the alpha version turns to beta).
Thanks for the feedback.
